ASUM Ultrasound Training

MRN has partnered with Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM -Outreach) in the training workshops in Port Morseby PNG. Volunteers from ASUM - Outreach have since 2010 have provided Ultrasound Training to Doctors and Midwives at the Port Morseby General Hospital.

The health of Mother and Baby is overseen by Doctors and Midwives in many parts of PNG.

However, not all regional hospitals and clinics have access to Ultrasounds.

To help this situation MRN has been involved in donating  5 x Laptop Styled Portable Ultrasounds.

MRN Ultrasound Health Project

Sadly older types of mobile ultrasounds are expensive to ship and their

reliability after many years of service is unknown.

Fortunately, MRN has sourced a Chinese made Ultrasounds and they are

shipped direct from China to our recipient hospitals.
