MRN 00080 Portable Ultrasound - WMHSAC

Portable Ultrasound to Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation

MRN and the Rotary Club of Ballina are donating a Portable Ultrasound to Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (WMHSAC ), Port Hedland - Warralong Outreach Clinic.

The Warralong Community is situated 70kms west of Marble Bar and surrounded by 2 massive rivers namely the De Gray and the Shaw River. The clinic is serviced once a week by members of the Chronic Disease Team who include Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers and Doctors.

An ultrasound at this clinic would be extremely beneficial for myself and the women so we could access when the baby is due, that the baby is growing well, to check the heart beat and function of the placenta and amniotic fluid. Best of all I can check if it is one baby or two. A portable laptop style ultrasound would be the best option for our clinic because we can only access the site by 4WD. Read more here...
